Perth will be joining Melbourne in playing with the remote control next month when Pause Fest comes to town. The event brings digitally creative minds together from across the world; from their online community to the offline venue of Northbridge Piazza. The festival revolves around digital media including animation, graphic design and film.
The event’s new theme ‘connected’ continues where the 2012 theme of the ‘future’ left off, with the main goal for 2013 being to solidify relationships and aid in the linking of synapses between ideas.
Workshops, interactive installations and guest speakers are just some of the instalments one can expect from the three-day festival. Pause Fest will feature talks from Argentinian Art Director from Plenty and graphic designer Pablo Alferi and Sound Designer of CypherAudio John Black from Canada. Other Pause Fest participants include Pozible, Squint/Opera, Sixty40, TKM9, Shock Records, and Thinque.
Beginning on Friday 26 April, the festival continues throughout the weekend until Sunday 28 April as part of Innovation Month at Northbridge Piazza.
