Malvern Town Hall was transformed into a glossy fashion runway as Stonnington fashionistas gathered to appreciate the work of more than 30 leading Australian designers and premier fashion brands recently.
American-based Melbourne model Silvana Lovin, who has worked with brands such as Jayson Brunsdon and Louis Vuitton, returned home to Stonnington as the face of Spring Fashion Runway on September 17.
The annual event showcased the range of home-grown talent and fashion on offer in the area, with Melbourne shopping hubs Chadstone, Chapel Street, Toorak Road, High Street and Malvern Central housed within its perimeters.
The designs of Alice McCall, Arthur Galan AG, Carla Zampatti and White Suedewere among others were strutted down the runway in three different themes – urban street style, spring racing and couture creations.
Internationally acclaimed fashion photographer Monty Coles and innovative architect Piero Paolo Gesualdi were inducted into the Stonnington Fashion Hall of Fame at a ceremony held on Wednesday in recognition of influential figures in the Australian fashion industry.
