A Little River property was searched as part of a series of police raids targeting drugs in Melbourne’s north-west yesterday morning.
Divisional Response Unit detectives seized more than $40,000 in cash as well as ammunition and drugs, including steroids, cocaine, methylamphetamine and cannabis from properties in Little River, Docklands, Altona North, Coburg North, Avondale Heights and Essendon. They executed eight warrants at both residential and commerical properties.
Leading Senior Constable Melissa Seach said three of the four men charged as part of Operation Diffuseness will face alleged drug offence charges. They four men have been bailed to appear in court in March.
A 35-year-old Essendon man was charged with ammunition offences.
A 44-year-old man from Balwyn North was charged with trafficking and being in the possession of a drug of dependence.
An Altona North 25-year-old man was charged with trafficking, being in possession of a drug of dependence and the proceeds of crime.
Each will appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 2 March next year.
A 38-year-old Docklands man will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on the same day after being charged with trafficking, being in possession of a drug of dependence and the proceeds of crime.
