CFA has cleared an oil spill on the Princes Highway, closing sections of road near the McGregor Road intersection.

Pakenham CFA, VicRoads and police were called to an oil spill at 2.10pm outside of the McDonald’s store near the McGregor Road intersection, affecting an area of about 100 metres across two lanes of traffic.

CFA used sand to mop up the spill, and the situation was under control by 2.20pm.

The scene was overseen by VicRoads and Cardinia Highway Patrol who temporarily sealed off the entrance to McDonald’s and KFC, as well as the nearby U-turn lanes.
