The arrests of two teenagers held up train services in Pakenham on Friday when police were forced to intervene.

A 15-year-old Berwick boy and a 16-year-old Pakenham boy were arrested for criminal damage at Pakenham train station about 3pm on Friday.

The teens were transported to the Pakenham police station and were cautioned for their antisocial behaviour.

Police said the teens were observed applying graffiti tags at the train station.

The incident affected train services, about 3.30pm, and caused delays of about 15 minutes to the 12.45pm Sale to Southern Cross (SC) and 2.20pm SC to Traralgon services on the Gippsland line.
