Truck in hit-run

Police have appealed for witnesses after a hit-run in Longwarry North during the early hours of Monday.

Investigators were told a white Toyota Hilux ute was travelling east on the Princes Freeway, about 500 metres west of Sand Road, when it was hit from behind by a large truck about 5.50am.

The Toyota ran off the road and rolled before coming to a stop. The truck – possibly a semi-trailer – did not stop at the scene.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Police have urged anyone who may have witnessed the collision or with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at http://www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
