Police search for owners

Police have appealed for public assistance to help identify the owner of a piece of equipment found in Garfield on Tuesday morning.

Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives found the interferential machine, usually used for physiotherapy, in the vicinity of a stolen BMW located on the Princes Freeway at 8.30am on Tuesday 8 November.

A vehicle search resulted in police allegedly finding three firearms, and glassware and chemicals consistent with drug manufacturing laboratory equipment.

A 27-year-old Hampton Park man has been arrested and is currently being interviewed by detectives.

Anyone with information about who may own this equipment has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
