Commuters headed home outbound on the Monash Freeway have been advised to use the Princes Highway, after a collision between a truck and a car.
All outbound lanes were closed at Narre Warren North Road as emergency services arrived on site shortly after 4.30pm on Monday 9 January.
Paramedics assessed a man aged in his fifties for a suspected head injury.
Outbound freeway traffic was banked back to Heatherton Road by 5.15pm.
It is not yet known when the road will re-open.
Motorists have been advised to use the Princes Highway as an alternative route.
